Yesterday I turned 22. I feel quite old. I got to sing "I'll Fly Away" at my church that morning though, which was the best birthday gift ever. Every year we get older we should think about heaven that much more. My friend gave me Andrew Bird's "Noble Beast" album. I had never heard Andrew Bird before, but I instantly fell in love. Partly because the cover of the album is this beautiful scene of the sun setting in a field. But his MUSIC!! So innovative, so many layers, so...freeing. Everyone should listen to him, at least once. It was a pleasant birthday, filled with Jesus, old American photography, and flower gardens.

Twenty-Two Years
